Health is often the forgotten element of health & safety, but we take the health of our employees seriously. From ensuring that our apprentices are fit to undertake their training to ‘fit to work’ medicals we monitor the health of all employees.
Safety is always at the heart of the work we carry out. We erect scaffold to current TG20 guidelines and have regular refresher training in SG4 and SG6 (manual handling). Where a structure falls outside the guidelines of TG20 our team of designers use their expertise to create a drawing that conforms to current regulations.
We are passionate about environmental matters. All materials we use on site are returned to our yard for reuse or recycling. Our directors are personally committed to improving the environment and reducing the impact our work has on the environment. We recycle our waste paper, plastics, office equipment, steel, aluminium and timber products.
At Sandwell, our aim has always been to provide the best service we can and to leave the customer fully satisfied. This starts with knowledgeable committed staff. The directors personally audit our systems at every stage to ensure our high standards are maintained. The quotations we produce are all checked to ensure they meet customer requirements. Risk assessments and method statements are audited and the audit is used as a training session. Pre contract meetings are held to ensure that issues are eliminated prior to us attending site. Sites have up to a 3 layer audit to ensure the safety of our product and that our operatives are working in a safe manner.
We are proud to be members of the NASC. We undergo their extensive audit procedure at regular intervals. We are assessed by SMAS, CHAS and SafeContractor.
